Google Wave app coming for the iPhone/iPod touch?
October 20, 2009 | Robert Nelson

The latest in the upcoming apps rumor category is dealing with a native Google Wave app. Of course, as you would expect the details are pretty light at this point and consist of nothing more than that the app will go by the name of Waveboard.
As of now, despite not having any details in terms of screenshots or features, it looks like the app has been completed and is currently waiting the approval of Apple.
Given that, for anyone interested, Google Wave does already play very nicely on the iPhone — all you need to do is fire up Mobile Safari and head on over to https://wave.google.com/wave.
This will give you a very usable page, and also a nice icon should you decide to add the bookmark to your springboard. I have been playing with Wave for a week or so now and am convinced at the potential, but have yet to actually use it for something other than testing and playing.

Hi Robert,
Thanks. Just received my invite from Google yesterday.
When I try your tip on my iPod Touch, I get a message saying my browser (the Safari browser installed on iPod) does not support preview of Google Wave.
I assume my Safari version is uptodate, although I never received any upgrade requests, and cannot find the current version number in Settings…
Any idea?
cheers, Jan
Just click the link below the browser icons and it will take you directly in.
