While browsing through my local electronics store recently, I discovered yet another instrumental addition to a certain popular video game franchise that makes games in which your controller is a musical instrument. The newest way to make your own music seems to be Disc-Jocking. That’s right, you can now mix and match your own music to form your very own work of art. But for those of us either on a budget or not a fan of Xbox or Playstation, there’s an app for the iPhone and iTouch that might subsitute the DJ feeling. Jamble Music Mashups is an app that lets users mash together twenty-four different songs into one awesome mix.
The app is extremely user friendly and fun to use. To make a track, start at the main menu and tap the song you want to start with. The songs are laid out over the majority of the screen in picture form. Once you have one song playing, you can add any other songs over the current one. Then listen as all the songs you’ve picked play in unison. Jamble did a great job at picking a good variety of songs which include different genres from rap and hip hop to alternative, rock, and even a little country.
The developers have also recently updated for the app that includes a play and share feature! Now you can show your masterpiece to the world! There’s also a 16 song pack upgrade available for those looking to add to their mix library, but it does come at a hefty price of $5.
All in all, this is a fun, addicting app. The graphics and controls are well done and polished nicely. But the lack of a save feature is a little depressing. At the price of $1.99 it is a little more than the average app. However, it does pass time and keeps players entertained for awhile. A new lite version is also available to try for free!
Verdict: 4/5 Stars

Hi Cody,
I’m the Producer for Jamble. Thanks for the review
I’m not sure what version you were playing, but the current version in the iTunes store has a record and share feature – you can record and playback your mixes, plus share them with your friends over email, Twitter and Facebook.
Jamble also has been reduced in price to $1.99, plus you can add more music right from the app. There’s a Lite version on the App Store now for everyone to try Jamble for free.
Update your version today and check out the new features. You won’t be disappointed!
