Mozilla Confirms Mystery iPhone App
October 21, 2009 | Stephane Dion

The Apple iPhone has been earning quite a rep for attracting the interest of some of the biggest software companies on the globe and it looks like another powerhouse player is about to come on board.
Mozilla, a company well known for its Firefox browser, confirms that their first iPhone app is on its way.
Unfortunately, little more than the fact that Mozilla is coming on board has been made public thus far and considering Apple’s stand on sticking with the default Safari browser, there’s a very good chance that this new app may not be a web browser at all.
It should be noted that Mozilla has been going to great efforts to establish themselves in the mobile web browsing arena, having already released mobile versions of Firefox for both Windows Mobile devices and Maemo platforms.
Will the iPhone be next on the short list of receiving mobile Firefox? Only time will tell.

I doubt there will be a firefox for iphone as if they make it also apple wong get it online…
Really? Why is ok for Apple to restrict the iphone, a computing platform, to it’s own bundled browser but Microsoft can’t do it with Windows PC’s?
