Rock Band now available in the App Store

The wait for Rock Band has come to an end, the game which is selling for $9.99 is now available in the App Store.

Feature wise, Rock Band is offering the ability to play in a single-player mode, as well as a multi-player mode that will allow for up to four players to compete. Players have the option to jam using the drums, bass, guitar and even vocals. Of course, the vocals does not actually involve any actual signing, instead users will tap the correct notes on the display.

Music wise, Rock Band comes with 20 tracks which include “Sabotage” from the Beastie Boys, “Learn to Fly” from the Foo Fighters, “Debaser” from the Pixies, “Lazy Eye” from the Silversun Pickups, “Cherub Rock” from the Smashing Pumpkins and more. Additionally, other tracks will be available for download using the in-app purchase system.

In terms of compatibility, Rock Band is available for the iPhone and iPod touch but does require OS 3.0 or later. That said, it does suggest that it will perform “best with versions 3.1 and above.”

Well, my Rock Band app had just finished downloading and installing, time to go and see how much fun I can have, err, I mean how much time I can waste.
