YouMail app gets an update, adds push notification and more

The YouMail app has not been in the App Store for all that long, it was originally released back in early August, but that has not stopped it from coming back with a welcomed update.

The update brings the app up to version 1.5 and introduces push notifications for new messages. Of course that is not the only change that has come, possibly the most useful, but that is for you to decide.

Other features that were added in YouMail version 1.5 include;

  • Toggle speaker and headset
  • Improved message forwarding via email
  • Reply by SMS and email
  • Slide to delete messages
  • Manage and view messages in all folders
  • Move/Delete multiple messages at once
  • Avatars

Additionally, the app will now also allow you to shake to refresh new messages. This one I have an issue with, well not so much an issue but a dislike. Personally I am not into this shaking to refresh, or shaking to select type of feature because inevitably I am walking with my iPhone in hand and end up selecting or refreshing at all the wrong times.

Anyway, as it was before, the YouMail app remains a free download.

    lol……about shaking to refresh..there is a fine line between how much we’d like to interact with our technology and how much we’d like to not look like blithering idiots twitching and jerking about when no one else even knows what you’re doing or why….
