The world of customizable apps is vast and ever growing. There’s no limit to what type of virtual creation you can make. A new app you might want to check out is i-Doodz, by Noel Hartshorn and Dennis Harrison.
For those of us not familiar with the term “Doodz” it refers to a term commonly used by the youth to address each other. In this app users can make their very own doodz. For starters, you can pick the background on which your i-dood will be displayed. Then pick some equipment you want to show behind your i-dood. Once you have the background set-up, you can start to costomize your actual i-dood.
You can choose your dood’s body, hair, face, features and more. Then dress your guy o girl in the coolest clothes and accessories around. In the end, you’ll end up with a poster-like image of your i-dood that you can save as your background or share with friends through email.
The app did have a few bugs however. One, you can’t manipulate color. So chances are you won’t be able to match your hair color perfectly. Two, the app did have some trouble loading when I started to create my i-dood. But neither of those problems are major enough to ruin the app in any way.
All in all this was a well put together, user friendly app. Unfortunately, it’s certainly not an app I need. Sure, it’s fun to make and i-dood and use it as my background. But I just can’t see spending the $1.99. Maybe if the developers added a way to animate your i-dood and add sound. But as of now, I recommend sticking with the free lite version of i-doodz.
Verdict: 3/5 Stars
