iSki App Review: Hit the Slopes!

iSki App Review: Hit the Slopes!

It’s that wonderful time of year again. Time to grab your skis, board, or even saucer and hit the slopes. My friends and I are the type of people who randomly decide to head up to the mountains on a Friday after school to shred some fresh powder. The only problem is, we rarely know what the conditions are like until we get there. Well luckily, there’s an app for that.

The iSki app is perfect for when the mountain calls. The app is designed to give skiers and boarders the latest conditions at their favorite ski resort. The app brags a list of over 1,300 ski resorts world wide, so chances are it’s got the scoop on yours. When you first start up the app, you’ll need to find your ski resort. You can browse through the US, Canada, and Europe and sort the results alphabetically, by most snow, or by top resort.

Once you find the resort you’re looking for you can view an entire host of information about it. For starters, you can check to see if the resort it open or closed. You can also check out the recent snowfall the resort has gotten, the base depth on the trails, and even notes on surface conditions. Lastly, you have the option of viewing the resorts web cam if they have one!

All in all the app was pretty accurate and did exactly what it set out to do. This is a great tool for those last minute trips to the mountain and I can see it coming in handy. This app is a must have for avid skiers and snow boarders. At $1.99, anyone who occasionally hits the slopes should check it out!

Verdict: 5/5 Stars
