A recent post over at The Street is running with the headline “Apple iPhone May Go to T-Mobile Next”, except they don’t actually state that anywhere in their article. A more accurate headline would be “Analyst Predicts iPhone Will Hit T-Mobile Next”, because that’s really all they’re running on. They don’t have any word that Apple will make any decisions next year aside from analyst speculation.
Now the actual speculation is nothing new. The analyst in question, one Doug Reid, sees the current mobile marketplace as Google Android/Verizon vs. iPhone/AT&T. Given that reasoning, it seems more logical to him that Apple would jump to T-Mobile once their AT&T exclusivity ends, instead of joining up with Verizon who has been doing a good job of bashing the iPhone and AT&T with their recent ads.
Reid goes on to speculate that Verizon may also wait for the next big iPhone refresh, possibly an LTE (4G wireless speeds) version of the phone come 2011. This is yet another reason he thinks Apple will avoid a Verizon iPhone in 2010–after all, why invest in new iPhone hardware that doesn’t support Verizon’s upcoming LTE upgrades?

this would make good sense for both apple and tmobile…..it's clear that tmobile customers are using jailbroken or unlocked iphones on the network ( I am) there would be very little modification needed…and the tmobile plans right now are better than at&t…as well I'm sure you would see a huge number of people flock from at&t to tmobile because of better service (customer and signal) and with verizon's recent bashing of the iphone I dont know how quick apple will be to jump into bed with them….the timing is right for this to be a tmobile phone..they already have it in germany….scuse the spelling and grammar i'm rushing
