Have you ever been so bored on your computer that you start to doodle random drawings in Paint? Then you start to realize that Paint can be a wonderful artists tool that can be used to make awe-inspiring paintings? No? Well believe it or not Paint can be responsible for beautiful works of art. Well now you can download a similar app directly to your iPhone or iTouch. MyPaint2, by My Media, is a basic paint app worth checking out.

MyPaint2 is basically a simpler version of Paint on the computer, put onto your iPhone or iTouch. When you first start the app you’ll need to pick the color you want to paint with. To do this, just tap the color on the color bar. If you want to customize the color then move the sliders on the main menu. Then you can set the thickness of your paintbrush. You can choose thinner, more delicate strokes for finer work or you can choose a broad stroke to fill in color. The last tool to familiarize yourself with is the eraser tool, which has different sizes for easy use.

The app allows to you to either upload a photo from your device or start with a blank canvas. And once you’ve created a work of art you can save it into your photo library. The app used to a be a free app, however it now has a pretty hefty price tag of $1.99. It’s still worth checking out but you might find a better app for the same price.
