Photoboard App Review: The Future of Photos?

Every so often, an app comes along that is incredibly pointless yet still extremely addicting. While browsing through the app store recently, I came across an app called Photoboard. At first I was puzzled because I had recalled a friend speaking of this app and the only way to get it was to jailbreak your device. So what was it doing in the app store? Well it turns out that Photoboard was too cool to keep secret!

Photoboard isn’t your average, bland photo viewing apps In fact, it brings photo viewing to a whole new level. Perhaps you recall certain sci-fi films set in the future, in which one could simultaneously re-size, move, rotate and turn photos with the touch of a finger. Well Photoboard brings that technology to your iPhone or iTouch.

For starters, the app comes with a host of backgrounds you can choose from. Once you’ve settled on a background, you can add as many or as little photos as you want from your device. Then the real fun starts! As soon as you’ve got your photos on the background, you can begin to spin, rotate, drag and re-size the them using just two fingers! My favorite, by far, is the ability to re-size the photos by touching a finger on two opposite corners and then dragging apart. Or try pushing your fingers together to shrink a photo! You can also grab multiple photos at once and manipulate them. Or stack all of the photos with the touch of a button.

All in all, there’s just something extremely addicting about this app. Maybe it’s the sci-fi feeling and the ease of use. I didn’t have any major problems with this app, and it functioned flawlessly. At $.99 this app is definitely one to check out!

Verdict: 4/5 Stars

That cool sci-fi feel came to me through the “Collage” application, another photo manipulation application. It does a very similar thing with your photos on the phone. Like you, I really got pumped about how much fun my fingers were having, resizing, repositioning, aligning them all with one touch, adding, editing and removing borders, all good. It appears to be selling for that .99 price also.
