TomTom to release an iPod touch Car kit “shortly”
November 19, 2009 | Robert Nelson

We just recently saw the TomTom navigation app get a nice update that added support for the original iPhone and the iPod touch, and while that was good news there was one bit that was missing. Which, as a side note was also pointed out by reader/commenter scottm.
That part that was missing was the fact that the car kit does not fit the iPod touch.
Thankfully, well at least for those interested iPod touch users, a new car kit will be coming courtesy of TomTom — and yes, it is being made specifically to fit the iPod touch.
“The existing #TomTom car kit is designed for the iPhone. A new car kit for iPod touch will be available shortly in the United States.”
Of course, this could also serve as a little advance warning to those that will be making the purchase. Now may be a good time to put a few bucks aside.
