3D Aquarium App Review: Fish Feeding Frenzy

3D Aquarium App Review: Fish Feeding Frenzy

Each person has their own personal preference of pets. Personally, I’m a dog person. However, I have had the occasional hamster, lizard or fish. Most people end up buying pet fish because they’re under the impression it’s a quick, cheap and easy way to enjoy the benefits of pet ownership. But those people quickly learn that fish are expensive to maintain, take time and effort to take care of and don’t make very good companions. Well luckily, the 3D Aquarium app, for the iPhone or iTouch, allows you to have your fish and enjoy them too!

3D Aquarium isn’t so much a game as it is a pleasure app. You have the run of three different virtual aquariums that you can stock with fish and crabs and customize to your liking. You start out by choosing the different physical features of each aquarium. For example, you can set the material like sand or gravel, the background, plant life and the water type. Once you’ve got your aquariums looking the way you want, you can start to add inhabitants. Currently, each aquariums is limited to 6 fish and 1 crab.

Along with an obvious pleasing visual effect, the app also offers a host of ways to entertain yourself. One, you can change your setting so you can tap the fish tank and send the fish flying in every direction. Two, you can feed the fish manually and watch as they race each other to fill their stomachs. Three, you can set and listen to different water sounds on each aquarium. And lastly, you can choose a few different camera views to better enjoy your aquatic life.

Owning and operating a virtual aquarium may seem a little silly at first. But when you consider the money, time and effort you save compared to a real life tank it’s definitely worth checking out. So if your looking for some pet fish without the hassle, give 3D Aquarium a try.

Verdict: 4.5/5 Stars
