Have you ever needed to print a document but didn’t have the time or patience to mess with your printer? And then you remember you have that handle little device in your pocket known as a iPhone. If only you could send that important document from your computer to your iPhone. Well now you can, using the ACT Printer Virtual Paper app by Houdah Software.

ACTPrinter is an app I wish would come standard with the iPhone because it’s so incredibly useful. Basically, what the app does is sends any of your documents stored on your Mac you usually might print to your iPhone. For example, maybe you have a short business letter on your Mac that you want your friend to review. Well instead of having to print that document and hassling with the printer, you can just “print” that document to your iPhone and share it virtually.

Here’s what you have to do. First, you have to have a Mac for this app to work, it won’t work with your PC. Second, you’ll need to log onto the Houdah website to download the ACTPrinter software. Then make sure your iPhone and Mac are connected to the same WiFi network. Finally, you can go under the Print menu in any of your documents and choose to print them to your iPhone!

All in all, the app worked flawlessly with no problems whatsoever. The major downfall is that you have to have a Mac. Hopefully we’ll see a PC compatible version in the future. At $.99 is a steal compared to all the ink and paper you’ll save. So check out ACTPrinter Virtual Paper now!
