AT&T has recently taken an award that no carrier would want to receive — they have come in last in the recent (and annual) Consumer Reports mobile survey.
First things first though, the survey consisted of 50,000 readers in 26 cities across the US. And in that survey, customers were asked about the four major US carriers about issues dealing with service and customer support.
According to the details of the survey, AT&T came in last place in 19 of those 26 cities for customer satisfaction.
As you would expect, or have most likely heard if not personally experienced, some of the main complaints were dealing with the voice service and the issue of dropped calls.
But in a little bit of an interesting twist in this story, 98% of those surveyed still noted that they would most likely buy another iPhone. It seems that despite network complaints people still love the hardware.
Still, despite AT&T taking last place I have to offer a reminder that this is based entirely on where you may live. Personally I use an iPhone 3GS on AT&T and an HTC Hero on Sprint and am much happier with the AT&T service. At least in my little area I have better call quality, more bars and faster data speeds with AT&T.

AT&T is screwed as soon as the iPhone goes to another carrier!!!!!!
Maybe not verison as they have a higher rate for their plans but AT&T better get their act together if they want to keep all of us iPhone users!!! I would consider paying a little more to go with Verison.

Johnny is correct. AT&T better hope and pray that the keep the iPhone exclusive, if it becomes available on other carriers they will lost 2 million subscribers in months.
