Generally speaking, when I’m browsing the app store looking for the next application to review, I rely on screen shots and descriptions to choose. However, time and time again I’ve made the mistake of choosing an app based on it’s initial look and not its overall use. Well luckily, a convenient little app has stopped that problem for me and even made app hunting easier.
BargainBin, an app my Proximi, is a listing of apps on sale, bargained price, and free. Here’s how it works. First, the app categorizes applications under the same titles as the iTunes app store. For example, games, news and travel are a few of the categories. Under each category you can see a list of apps that are on sale, at a bargain price, or free. Just tap which section you’d like to see to view them. On sale items are typically items that are marked down any amount from their regular price. Bargain items are apps that are marked down by fifty percent or more. And of course free items are free apps.
BargainBin doesn’t stop at just showing you the lowest prices. You can also view screen shots of an app and read a short description. To do so simply tap and hold the icons of an app. Lightly tapping an icon will take you directly to the app store where you can buy it.
All in all, BargainBin is pretty helpful and there are plenty of opportunities it can save you money. Best of all the app itself is free so you won’t have to spend money to save money. The app ran pretty smoothly and I didn’t find any major bugs. So Check out BargainBin now!
Verdict: 4/5 Stars

I would love a general search function in this app though, you can search to add items to the 'watching' list but not to list apps by a searched name like you do in the standard App Store.
