If you remember back, Rogers/Fido began offering free tethering during a promo that was offered last summer. Of course, that tethering was set to expire here in just a couple of days, on December 31, 2009 to be exact.
But we now have a little bit of good news for those that have come to like having the option to tether available — that offer has been extended until May 3, 2010.
“The current promotion, originally set to expire December 31, provides tethering at no extra charge to those with a data plan/add-on of 1 GB or more with a compatible device. Data charges for tethering are deducted from the customer’s current data plan bucket. This promotion has been extended for all existing customers until May 3, 2010. Customers who are currently eligible to use tethering can continue to do so at no extra charge until the promotion’s end date.”
So with that, you can now continue to enjoy your free tethering for a few more months, which coming from someone in the US with AT&T I can say that I am pretty jealous because we still have yet to see tethering — free or paid.
