Saga Catapult Game Review: Ready, Aim, Fire!

Saga Catapult Game Review: Ready, Aim, Fire!

Prepare for battle, enemies are knocking at the gates! Surely you’ve seen one of the big summer blockbusters in which a giant stone wall protects an ancient city from a brutal marauding army. Well now you can step into that mythical world without actually having to place yourself in harms way, all through the wonderful miracle of modern technology. All you need to defend your virtual city is your iPhone or iTouch and the Sage Catapult app.

Saga Catapult, by Silverlode Interactive, is one of the most addicting, stunning games in the app store today. You take the role of an unlucky catapult operator who carries the weight of the entire cities survival on his shoulders. Prepare to stand against hordes of ghastly creatures sent forth by an evil doer. Your cities only chance of survival is the accuracy of your catapult.

You have two options to control your catapult which are either dragging-to-aim or tapping-to-fire. Personally, I found the tapping-to-fire option easier and more accurate, however if you’re looking for a challenge give the dragging-to-aim option a try. Once you’ve got your attack method down, you’re ready to repel the onslaught of vicious creatures. The first few levels of the game are pretty easy and contain very few enemies to smite down. However, as you progress through the levels be prepared to face tougher and more vile creatures.

The graphics for this game are truly stunning. It’s obvious the developers worked long and hard and took pride in their work. The also paired the visual effect with an equally amazing soundtrack. Not only can you hear the screams of your fallen enemies, but also listen to a catchy little medieval tune!

All in all, Saga Catapult has earned a permanent spot on my device. Surprisingly, it can occupy hours of my time without getting boring. So if your looking for a great, fun, addicting game than give Saga Catapult a try!

Verdict: 5/5 Stars
