US Postal Service releases USPS Mobile for the iPhone and iPod touch
December 4, 2009 | Robert Nelson

The US Postal Service has released a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch, simply called USPS Mobile. And yes, this is a free app.
As far as what you can do with it, well that is pretty much what you would expect. You can find the location of a Post Office, Automated Postal Center or a collection box. Additionally, the app will also help you to track your Express Mail shipment and look up the zip code for your current location or any US address.
While I can see the use here, this app will most likely only really appeal to those who are often on the go, and at the same time always in need of a mailbox. But if nothing else this may help some during the upcoming holiday season when we are shipping (and receiving) more packages than we do all year long.
