AtHome Camera App Review

Ever wonder what could be going on at your home when your not there? Maybe you have a cat that you believe to actually be a secret agent and you want to catch him in the act? Or maybe you want to see what your kids are up to while your away? Or perhaps you want to catch that thieving neighbor in the act? Well whatever the case, the AtHome Camera app will allow you to access your Webcam from your iPhone!

Now there are plenty of apps in the app store that claim to do the exact same thing, so what sets AtHome Camer apart from the rest of them? In my opinion, its the ease of use and capability that this app offers. Before you start using the app, you’ll need to sign up for a free account on the company’s website (Sunray Networks).

Once you have your account signed up, you’ll be asked to download software to your computer. This takes care of all of the work like obtaining your computers IP address and such. Then you can use your login ID and password to access your webcam from your iPhone using the app.

The app connects over Wi-Fi so it has the same basic picture quality as it would on the computer. The app also allows you to set and record remotely, which is great if you want to save a video then send it to your device.

I can’t really see much use for apps like this other than spying on someone or something. So for me, the $7.99 price tag seems a little steep. Luckily, you can try out the lite version of AtHome Camera for only $.99. It only allows you to connect up to one webcam as opposed to four with the full version. But it gets the general job done nonetheless.

Verdict:3/5 Stars
