Idea Organizer App Review: Capture Your Ideas
January 25, 2010 | Cody Buchanan

It’s happened to all of us. We’ve been patiently pondering on a subject and we finally see the answer. We get so excited that we found the solution that we forget what it was! Then we grumpily surrender our quest and move on with life. Well if you’re tired of letting a great idea slip away, look no further than your iPhone and the new Idea Organizer app! With this handy app you’ll never have to worry about losing an idea again! Because you can document and safely store it right on your iPhone or iTouch.
Idea Organizer, an app by Nanaimo Studio, is perfect for capturing rogue ideas that might be fluttering around in your head. As soon as an idea presents itself, you simply take out your device and start up the app! The app offers three different ways of recording an idea. One, you can use a simple text box to type up an idea. Two, you can use your devices speaker to record vocal notes. Or three, you can use your camera to take visual notes.
For each note you save you can also scribble down a title and description which is where the “Organizer” part of the name comes from. The app does a great job of keeping all of you notes exactly where you want, making it easy to find and store them. You can even send your notes to your computer or a friend in case you need to share or save them permanently. The app also attaches the current time and date onto each note so you know exactly when it was recorded.
Personally, I’m very fond of the visual and vocal note taking options. Like everyone, I find writing and typing to get tedious after awhile. So having the ability to add visual and sound elements to my notes is a great time saver.
The interface for this app is done very well, but in a simplistic way. It has a professional look that gives you the feeling its okay to be used during a meeting or lecture. All of the buttons are pretty self explanatory, with pictures of what each one does.
The only thing I wish I would’ve seen in this app is the ability to incorporate all three note taking features into one. Maybe I want to snap a picture and type out what it is below, the whole time recording the lecture of my professor. But you can’t ask for it all! So for now I would definitely recommend Idea Organizer!

Isn't this what evernote does? But not nearly as good as evernote?
Did you try out this app yet? Evernote doesn't allow you to create a note that is made of a combination of text, voice memos and photos, this one does. With Evernote, you are stuck with either text, one photo with text, or one voice memo with text. Also, with Evernote requires that you sign up for an account or sign in before you can use the app, which is annoying because I don't like to be force into doing that but I guess there is no such thing as free lunch.
