Tank Tigers Game Review
January 31, 2010 | Cody Buchanan

One can only imagine the raw power a tank pilot feels when in battle. The ability to move a massive, heavy war machine with amazing firepower and armor plating. But chances are the majority of us will never experience what its like to pilot a tank. Unless we go knock on the front gate of our local military base and ask for a test run! So naturally, we turn to virtual gaming to help us fulfill are tank-blasting fantasizes. And the best game in which to experience the power of a tank is Tank Tigers by RustyRaven.
Tank Tigers puts the player behind the controls of one of five WWII tanks. There’s two different playing styles which are single-player and multi-player. Single-player puts players into a campaign type mode in which you fight against different enemies in different areas around the world, playing your part in finishing the war. The controls for Tank Tiger are intimidating at first, but once you start to play you get the hang of it pretty quick. The driving controls for the tank are displayed on a circle along the left of the screen. The turret controls are displayed on a bar to the right. Keep in mind after every shell fired there’s a reload time so plan your shots carefully.
Each tank has its own pluses and minuses, so depending on the battlefield and the enemy your fighting you choose the tank that best fits the scenario.
The multi-player feature of this game is where the fun really starts. Users can connect via Wi-Fi to battle against 15 other friends on every major battlefield in the war. Obviously, the more players you get the more fun you’ll have. The only problem is I don’t have 15 friends who have an iPhone. The 3D graphics for this game are very well done, and it makes for a pretty addicting game play. All in all, Tank Tigers is definitely worth checking out if you love virtual warfare games. At $4.99 it might be considered expensive, but it’s definitely worth it.
