When will the Apple iPad be available for purchase?
January 27, 2010 | Robert Nelson

I guess we should have figured out that something was strange when the Apple Store never went offline today, and I think that I have now figured it out.
Despite the fact that we know the iPad with Wi-Fi will be shipping in 60 days and the iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G will be shipping in 90 days the Apple iPad is not yet available for purchase.
In fact, as of now the Apple Store has not even listed the iPad and the regular Apple website is simply offering the ability to be notified by email when it is available. In other words, put your wallet away because it does not look like you will be needing it today.
Anyway, I am sure we here at iPhonefreak will let you know when it becomes available, but just in case you want you can also give Apple your email. Just hit the link below.

Why waste your money on this peace of crippled crap? Wait for the HP slate instead…
HP=Horse Poop
The very same "unavailable features" are also unavailable on the iPhone and that didn't stop people from getting an iPhone now did it?
Sure there were plenty of people who claimed they would NOT get an iPhone but sales continue to grow. Hmmmm LOL
Its not crippled,
People complain that the iPhone is a closed system with applications having to be reviewed by Apple. Im sorry, I want that. A phone is your only life line in case of serious life threatening emergencies. I dont want to have to close a storm of multiple pop ups, or deal with spyware related crud when Im trying to call an ambulance. Just imagine having your phone blue screen and crash in the middle of calling the police during a car jacking. All it takes is for one poorly written application to be on your phone.
Now lets talk about viruses. Lets talk about your phone silently calling 1-900 numbers and racking up $2000 dollars in long distance due to a virus running in the background. This can easily happen. Do you really want a trojan watching the buttons you press or recording your phone calls? This is also very possible.
Why are people so foolish as to WANT their phone to act just like their computer. Computers are always infected with something. Your phone is more critical to your survival, and you use it more often to transmit extremely personal information. Calling the phone, cable, electric company. Really want it recording you when they ask your mothers maiden name, last four of your social? Or your debit card number when ordering a pizza?
Im sorry, you may call it crippled, I call it good sense.
Chis B1: I agree with you working in IT for years on the PC side for 20, my staff all works on PC here at work, and 90% of them have Macs at home including myself. One thing I will give Microsoft and the PC world they keep people employed because of all the problems they have.
iPhones are very easy to use, have a ton of Ap support and don't fail to often. Ironically the only thing crippling is the piece of crap Dell Studio One I bought for my kids, doesn't work half the time and that is with Windows 7. I say bring on the iPad as I for one will be buying one once they get released!
nobody perfect.. apple is pretty cool and HP is original product
Ohh?nice put up but really?/?
the apple iphone tech is cool. you just just beat the industrial design……closed system…thats what jailbreak is for isnt it?
