February 25, 2010 | Tim Bradbury

Earlier this month, Apple announced to the masses that it would be holding a contest to see who could download the 10 billionth song from iTunes. Well, Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, GA, did just that by purchasing “Guess Things Happen That Way” by Johnny Cash, and he will be rewarded handsomely with a coveted $10,000 iTunes gift card.
An Apple press release released today stated: “The 10 billionth song, “Guess Things Happen That Way” by Johnny Cash, was downloaded by Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Georgia. As the grand prize winner of Apple’s 10 Billion Songs Countdown contest, Louie will receive a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card.”
Now, some of you may be wondering, “just what exactly can a $10,000 iTunes gift card get me?” Well, you could download 7,751 ($1.29) songs, 10,101 ($0.99) songs, or 667 ($14.99) movies.
Louie, if you’re out there somewhere reading this, I’d just like to congratulate you on behalf of all the folks here at iPhonefreak. (Be sure to have fun with that $10,000 iTunes card!)
