If you’re already an iPhone or iPod user, you may be aware of Scosche, an accessory manufacturer who makes the popular kickBACK case for the mobile phone, amongst other items. With the announcement of the iPad, Scosche have adapted the kickBACK for use with Apple’s latest toy too.
Made from tough polycarbonate with soft, grippy rubber to hold everything in place, the case provides side protection for the iPad and a degree of scratch-proofing for the brushed rear panel. However, just like the iPhone version, the kickBACK’s party piece is the kickstand.
The stand can be used to display the iPad both horizontally and vertically at a variety of different angles, with a locking mechanism to avoid any falls, plus when using the kickBACK as a case, there are grip sections along the back to ensure your iPad doesn’t slip out of your hands either. The uses parallel the iPhone version, but with the obvious emphasis on displaying video and acting as a digital photo frame.
Inside the package you’ll find the case itself along with a screen protector and the obligatory cleaning cloth. Price has yet to be announced – but the iPhone version is $30, so expect it to be considerably more than that – and Scosche expect their iPad kickBACK to be on sale during the springtime.
