Hutchison Austria is preparing to begin offering the iPad (once available) at a discounted rate. Of course, that means you will be agreeing to and signing a contract which in this case is two years. Price wise, according to the website, the carrier will be offering a discount of €333 for those willing to sign up. The interesting part here is that we still have not seen the official pricing announced for areas outside of the US, and that means we are not sure if this will be a good deal or not.
But that aside, those interested will be required to sign up for a 5GB (per month) data plan which will cost €29.90 per month. And again, that is a two-year agreement.
Another interesting little tidbit here is that the iPad offer is not for a model with built-in 3G. Instead Hutchison is offering the discount in conjunction with a Huawei i-Mo 3G modem. Basically, that is an external modem similar to a MiFi, which lets the user create a personal hotspot and then connect their devices using Wi-Fi. Maybe not perfect, but at least the customer would be able to use that on-contract data with devices other than the iPad if they need.

Seems pretty expensive if its not even the 3G + Wi-Fi model. and I'm sure their is better deals out their than 5GB for 30yoyos
