Jailbreaking news: iTunes 9.1 is affecting sync for some jailbreakers
March 31, 2010 | Robert Nelson

Yesterday Apple gave us iTunes 9.1 and with that came support for the iPad and more. But mixed in with all of the goodies, they also gave us something that is not as welcomed — an syncing issue. First things first though, this issue is not widespread and will only affect a select group of jailbreakers. Sounds unfortunate, but it comes with the territory.
Anyway, it appears that people who used blackra1n are having issues. But even more specifically, those who used blackra1n for a tethered jailbreak on Windows. Bottom line, if you fall into that category, you may want to go here and download “Fix my ra1n” which was developed by iH8sn0w.
Otherwise, it seems that all other jailbreaks and unlocks are safe with iTunes 9.1.

I am a Blackra1n JB user from windows (from XP to now 7) on a 3Gs and the 9.1 software is still syncing fine for me. The new version did drop most of my preferences, and then de-installed all my apps so they all lost their individual preferences. But having gone through that it's now all a bit better than before. For the few features and no additional issues I am a big JB convert.
