Apple’s website was updated on March 5th with a graphic that read “Starting March 12, pre-order from the Apple Online Store or reserve for pickup at an Apple Retail Store.” For those of you out there who are just dying to get your pre-order in (I know you’re out there,) you can head over to Apple’s website at 5:30am (PST) tomorrow, and put your order in for either a WiFi or 3G iPad.
According to an inquiry by The Unofficial Apple Weblog:
We asked Apple PR to help you plan your day tomorrow, and they responded:
“Customers can pre-order online at apple.com at 5:30am Pacific time on Friday, March 12.”
In addition to pre-ordering your iPad, you can also reserve an iPad for pickup at your local Apple Store, once the devices become available, that is. For all of you international folks out there, Apple has yet to announce a pre-order date, but international shipping dates are the same as those in the US: April 3rd for the WiFi version and “late April” for the WiFi + 3G version.
I personally will not be pre-ordering an iPad, as I plan on waiting for Apple to iron out some of the hardware/software kinks that are inevitable in a first generation device such as the iPad. I really cannot wait to get my hands on one of these amazing devices!
Happy iPad hunting!
