The good news is that someone has released a jailbreak for iPhone OS 4.0. The bad news is that only a limited few are going to actually be able to use it. That said, while a little surprising, it is nice to see this released. If nothing else it will allow some jailbreak developers to prep their goods for the upcoming release.
Anyway, who can use the iPhone OS 4.0 jailbreak. To begin with, you will need to be a registered developer. According to the wikee.iphone.org site for redsnow 0.9.5;
“You’ll need a properly-registered developer UDID with Apple to get past the activation screen”
Additionally, its limited to the iPhone 3G, beta 1 of iPhone 4.0 and for those running Mac OS X.
If that still applies to you, hit the link below, read the directions, download redsn0w 0.9.5 and prepare to jailbreak.
