iPad 3G owners: Today is the last day to sign up for Unlimited Data or forever be limited to using 2GB or less per month
June 6, 2010 | Robert Nelson

As the post title states, today is the final day you will be able to sign up for the Unlimited Data plan on the iPad. The plan will cost you $29.99 and allow for unlimited data use. This will go away as of 11:59 PM tonight and be replaced with the option for either 2GB for $24.99 or 250MB for $14.99. Either way, its far from unlimited.
As for me, I am glad I have the unlimited plan, not because I plan to use that much. Heck I may never go over 2GB and I would be ok with that, but for me I would rather pay $29.99 instead of $24.99. The reasoning behind that, its simple, I look at it as if I am paying $5 per month so I never have to worry about my data use.
Either way, sign up today or forever be limited to 2GB or monthly transfer. Which means that you better start finding some public Wi-Fi spots if you are a heavy data user.

Thanks for the info.
I agree that an additional $5 is somewhat immaterial considering its unlimited and you'll not have to worry if you're near the limit or something.
AT&T is ridiculous !! Yet anothr ultimatem and another price increase! But as long as we fall for it and continue shelling out the $ ( no matter what they charge?) I guess who can blame them?? They’d be crazy not to take advantage of us right?
I thought the NYTimes article referenced yesterday said you had access to the unlimited data plan as long as you purchased your iPad before June 7th…?
