As seems to be the current fashion, a lawsuit has been filed against Apple for a defective product. But instead of it concerning the iPhone 4 and its antenna, this is all about the iPad. According to Bloomberg, a complaint has been entered in an Oakland, California court that the ‘iPad doesn’t live up to the reasonable consumer’s expectations’.
Why, you ask? Because it allegedly overheats. The statement says that in direct sunlight, the iPad only operates for a few minutes before turning off, although elsewhere, Bloomberg use the wording ‘common weather conditions’ rather than direct sunlight.
We were under the impression that most electronic devices disliked direct sunlight and that many have sensors that shut them down if they get too hot. While we’ve not experienced these issues with our iPad, and it’s nearing the height of summer here, we wonder if any of our readers have experienced similar problems with theirs?

I think that some people are just causing a fuss so they can get money out of Apple. It's common sense not to leave electronics in direct sunlight. They need to stop being so stupid & get their minds of off trying to scam Apple.

Apple is a major BART advertiser (in the past they’ve plastered entire BART stations with iPod ads). Apple’s WWDC conference ends on Friday. It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here… I’m sure our ad will conveniently be back up after WWDC ends.
hey i bought a new iphone and here`s what i discovered in it http://newtechnologyera.blogspot.com/

I want to love Apple. They have great ideas and branding, but there's a sense that they can do no wrong among some folks… and that just ain't true. They have lots of work to do to live up to their hype.

Got to agree with the first commenter. They are just riding the bandwagon and trying to squeeze some dollars of Apple. This is really unfortunate.

Apparently some of the new cases can solve this issue. It's disappointing it came to this (and I agree with the above poster)
