International iPad Launch Continues with Nine More Countries Added
July 19, 2010 | Andy Boxall

If you’ve been lusting after an iPad and don’t live in one of the lucky few countries where they’re sold, then perhaps your luck will be in and you’ll be in the latest set! Apple’s latest press release states that the following nine new countries will see the iPad on sale from this Friday, the 23rd July:
- Austria.
- Belgium.
- Hong Kong.
- Ireland.
- Luxembourg.
- Mexico.
- Netherlands.
- New Zealand.
- Singapore.
Those with the Euro as their currency, Austria and Ireland for example, will be paying 499 EURO for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and moving up from there. There doesn’t appear to be any pre-order opportunities, but most have a link to the store locator instead.
With the second set of iPhone 4 country launches about to get under way on the 30th, the remainder of July should be good for Apple. This also illustrates just how fast the iPhone 4 is being rolled out. Let’s not forget that the iPad was released on the 3rd April and is only now finding its way to its 19th country three and a half months later, while the iPhone 4 will be on sale in 22 after just one month!
Will you be picking up an iPad if it’s about to be released in your country, or have you already imported one?
