Firmware, iPhone News

iOS 4.0.1 Available Now for the iPhone, iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad too.

Fire up iTunes, plug in your iPhone or iPad and download some new firmware.  For the iPhone, Apple have prepared iOS 4.0.1, a small but potentially key piece of software, as it brings the improved version of the formula used to calculate the amount of signal strength bars to display.  This was expected in iOS 4.1 so it’s pleasing to see it out earlier than expected.

For the iPad, we have iOS 3.2.1, which contains a few more fixes than its iPhone counterpart.  Perhaps most importantly, it will bring improved Wi-Fi connectivity – something that has been reported as needed by iPad users since release – plus a few fixes and the addition of Bing to Safari’s search box.

Apple are setting up their soldiers ready for the press conference tomorrow…
