iPhone 4 Coming to 3 UK This Week
July 28, 2010 | Andy Boxall

The iPhone 4 will reach its fifth UK network this Friday, as 3 adds its name to the list. The phone will be available on four different tariffs or as a SIM-only option. This is an interesting idea, as many may have already got their iPhone 4s from Apple running on an existing contract with a chopped about regular SIM, so with 3 a little late to the party, their micro-SIM deals could work out well. Here’s an overview:
Their pay-monthly deals are all on 24-month contracts:
- Pay £30 per month and the iPhone 4 will cost £99 for the 16GB and £189 for the 32GB. You’ll get 500 minutes, 5000 SMS and 1GB data.
- Pay £35 and you’ll receive the same deal as above but with 900 minutes instead.
- Pay £40 per month and the iPhone 4 will cost £59 for the 16GB and £149 for the 32GB. You’ll get 2000 minutes, 5000 SMS and 1GB data.
- Pay £45 per month for the same tariff as above and the 16GB iPhone 4 will be free, while the 32GB will cost £89.
They offer three SIM-only deals too:
- Pay £15 per month on a rolling monthly contract for 300 minutes, 3000 SMS and 1GB data.
- Pay £25 per month, but on a 12 month contract and receive 2000 minutes, 5000 SMS and 1GB data.
- The PAYG deal provides free text and data and lasts for 90 days, with a £10 top-up needed to keep your number.
The SIM packs appear to be free to order, but they will require a credit check when you activate them.
You can see all the contract details on the 3 website, and although the iPhone 4 is still listed as coming soon, Macworld UK reports that it will be available from Friday 30th July.
