Google Instant Comes to Your iPhone

If you live in the USA, then fire up Safari on your iPhone, head to Google.com and you should see the option to turn on their beta version of Google Instant for Mobile!  Introduced a short while back, Google Instant predicts what you’re searching for and automatically displays the results, with no other input needed from you.

Having got used to Instant on the desktop, it’s a decent time-saver and it makes even better sense on the iPhone, as fewer button presses to get to where you want to be is always welcome.  Google do say that it’ll need a reliable 3G or Wi-Fi connection to work well though, hence them giving you the option to turn it off.

Google Instant for Mobile is currently in beta and only for iOS 4 devices and Android phones located in the USA.  For everyone who can’t see what it’s about for themselves, take a look at Google’s explanatory video below.
