New In The App Store This Week…

Infinity Blade.

The long-awaited Epic Games/ChAIR Entertainment RPG game is here.  It’s a universal app for the iPhone and the iPad.  $5.99/£3.49.

Videoscope.

Create interactive video effects using either of the iPhone 4′s cameras.  Then save them and use them as wallpaper.  $0.99/£0.59.

Gift Plan.

This appears to be the most complete gift planning app available, with everything from likes/dislikes and password protection to importing contacts from Facebook and a shopping list.  $1.99/£1.19.

Inception – The App.

The official movie tie-in app is an augmented audio experience, using several iPhone sensors to create ambient audio tracks.  Free.

AutoRobot TD.

Sixty levels of graphically impressive tower defense action, complete with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth multiplayer mode.  $2.99/£1.79.

Puzzle Quest 2.

The Namco match-3 puzzle game is a universal app suitable for both the iPhone and the iPad.  $9.99/£5.99.

Star Wars: Imperial Academy.

A freemium iPhone game where you must work your way through the Imperial ranks in an online FPS.  Free.

Kuroo Safe.

A check-in social network with an emphasis on safety, allowing users to send details of their whereabouts or send a panic when an expected check-in doesn’t occur.  A Lite version is also available.   $1.99/£1.19.

Dark Woods.

An iPad adventure game for young ones, with bright, attractive graphics and simple gameplay.  $2.99/£2.39.

Blacktop.

A social network which visualizes your check-ins on a map which can be shared with friends.  Links with both Foursquare and Facebook Places.  Free.
