MOBiLE CLOTH iPhone/iPad Accessory Review

I’m not going to hide it, I love microfiber cloths.  There is a bag in our utility room full of various sized microfiber cloths, mitts and pads, all of which are used when I clean my car, then washed ready for the next time.  They’re perfect for this task due to their ability to retain plenty of water, minimize smears, lift harmful dirt and grit, and generally do a brilliant job of making the paint all shiny; all without leaving any dust or lint behind or scratching the paintwork.

The screen on my iPhone and iPad require just as much care, if not more, than my car’s bodywork; making a microfiber cloth ideal for cleaning them too.  However, great big cloths designed for more serious and sizable jobs don’t lend themselves to the task, which is where MOBiLE CLOTH comes in.

Designed with touchscreen devices in mind, these 10″ square microfiber cloths come in blue and white, and in packs of one, two, four or six.  Having used microfiber cloths many times before, I didn’t need convincing that the material is effective, however this experience has shown me that not all cloths are born the same.

That said, I’m pleased to report that the MOBiLE CLOTH is up with the best I’ve used, evident from the way it grips the skin on my thumb when I pick the cloth up, and from the way it removes all smudges and fingerprints from my iPhone and iPad with minimal effort.  As I photograph them regularly for reviews on iPhonefreak, it’s good to have a small, high quality cleaning cloth to hand.  The MOBiLE CLOTH polishes both devices to a shine in moments and while it’s not something I usually touch on in our reviews, the service from the company has been excellent too.

One final benefit of using a microfiber cloth over anything else is it’s ability to clean bacteria from the screen without the need for chemicals, keeping your touchscreen as healthy as it is clean.  It’s also worth mentioning that Apple don’t recommend you clean your iPhone/iPad screen with anything else except a ‘soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth’, or you could ruin the oleophobic coating.

You can grab a set of MOBiLE CLOTHS here, where prices range from one for $2.99 to six for $12.99.  Certainly in my experience, finding a single, good quality microfiber for $2.99 isn’t an easy task, and they’re so versatile it’s always worth having one nearby.
