iOS 4.3.1 Bug Fix Update About to be Released?

We’ve only just got used to iOS 4.3, but if the rumors are to be believed we could be about to get another iOS update, possibly even as quickly as next week.  Don’t get over-excited though, this isn’t iOS 5 or even iOS 4.4, but iOS 4.3.1.

As is probably obvious from the even smaller incremental update number, this is a bug fix release which is unlikely to include any new features.  According to Boy Genius, it will contain at least five fixes and an update for the iPad and iPhone 3GS baseband.

The fixes listed are a memory hang bug, a problem with NTLM authorization, a Springboard fix for third-party apps recognizing the gyroscope, and most importantly of all, removal of iPad 2 jailbreak vulnerability.

Version 4.3.1 is only a rumor at the moment, so there is no firm release date, but within two weeks is the source’s estimate.
