WWDC Confirmed for the 6th to 10th June 2011 – iPhone 5 Incoming

Excited yet?  Well you should be, as this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference promises to be one of the most anticipated events on the 2011 tech calendar, given the amount of current interest surrounding Apple and their latest products.

The official date is very close to the estimates made a few weeks back, with the final days being the 6th June to the 10th June.  If you’re new to the whole Apple thing, then WWDC has been the setting for the new iPhone to be introduced, and there seems little reason to doubt this year will be any different.

Apple’s press release quotes Philip Schiller as saying ‘At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS.  If you are an iOS or Mac OS X developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss’.  We don’t think that statement only applies to developers, Phil!

So that’s more information on iOS 5 and Lion we can expect too.  We’ve already had a preview of what Lion will be like, but we’ve yet to hear anything at all about iOS 5.

Note the date in your diaries, as it’s only just over two months to go!
