Apple’s latest TV advert for the iPad 2 has been released, and it’s another of the more abstract entries – in that it doesn’t really tell you what the tablet does, more what others think of it. It’s a clever strategy too, as the people mentioned all have professional, aspirational jobs and clearly find uses for the iPad 2 outside of Angry Birds HD.
For all us average folk, this makes the iPad 2 even more aspirational than it already was, and if I hadn’t understood the product when I saw this ad, it would certainly make me want to see it in operation. The trouble is, I’m not sure the picture painted in the ad is all that accurate, as it’s so much more usable and versatile than the complicated apps shown.
