HD Greedy Bankers Headed for iPad This Summer

Back in May we reviewed an iPhone puzzle game called Greedy Bankers, and rewarded it an excellent 4/5 score.  This great little game has a simple concept – collect gems to reach a certain amount of money in a fixed amount of time, in order to move to the next level – original artwork and is very addictive.  If you missed it when we covered it, it’s well worth a download.

Fans of the game will be pleased to know an iPad version is currently being developed, and instead of being a rehash of the original, only bigger, it will have several new features including a new game mode and a new title: Greedy Bankers vs. The World.

As you may have guessed, Greedy Bankers vs. The World is all about battling seven evil exes a multiplayer mode.  Using a split-screen view, each player will still have to collect gems to reach a fixed amount of cash, but when you cash them in, rubble gets added to your opponents screen, gradually making things much harder.

Interestingly, you’ll be able to steal gems from the other player – with no penalty – and even arrange traps to blow up any of their carefully arranged gems, but many of these options will be user selectable, so if you want to play a clean game, you can.  It’ll also be possible to play side-by-side or opposite each other too.

Greedy Bankers vs. The World sounds like great fun, and the chance to customize the game to your liking is an excellent idea, as not everyone will like the potentially cutthroat style.  Not me though, I think it sounds fantastic!

There’s no firm release date as yet, however the developer is planning a late July submission to Apple, so expect it before the end of the summer.  Greedy Bankers vs. The World is be one to look forward to!
