iOS 5 Demo Video Shows Off New Features, Makes Us Want it Now!

Thanks to the lack of live stream from Apple’s WWDC keynote yesterday, all most people have been able to learn about iOS 5 so far has come from live blogs or from post-event articles such as ours; but there’s nothing quite like seeing it in action to really understand how your phone will look by the end of the year!

Apple has posted their official iOS preview video, describing most of the major new features in detail and showing them off on a device too.  It’s good to see Game Center, Mail and Newstand, but the most interesting additions to iOS 5 are still the Camera enhancements and Notification Center.

Now we can actually see how the new notification system works, its resemblance to Android’s system is striking, however the lock screen information and scrolling stock prices and weather are unique to iOS.  The camera shortcut has also been seen recently, as Microsoft made a big thing out of the feature on Windows Phone 7.

iOS 5 is an exciting update, and it’s a shame we’ve got to wait at least two months before it’s released; so for now just enjoy the video below.
