The iPhone 4S Goes On Sale! Have You Got Yours?

Today’s the big day, as Apple releases its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S. The new device had something of a shaky start, as the response on social media networks after the event was less than favorable when the phone hadn’t been treated to a redesign.
This initial lukewarm response didn’t translate into poor sales though, and the iPhone 4S smashed Apple’s previous sales record by topping 1 million pre-orders over the very first 24-hours. With their initial allocation completely sold out, delivery times for pre-ordered handsets reached two weeks.
As successful pre-orders start to arrive, the iPhone 4S goes on sale in shops today, meaning there are queues of eager buyers camped outside shops ready for them to open. How many phones are out there, we’ve no idea, but there’s a good chance the official Apple Stores are well-stocked.

I pre ordered last week and was told I could cancel. I didn’t know it would take 14-21 days to receive my order until I checked the shipping status on line.
Was in line this morning at the same ATT store.
Got to a sales rep/manager and was told I couldn’t cancel my previous order and pick one up today. I must wait 14-21 days for it to come in the mail.
Oh well, live and learn.
I got my iPhone 4S today
I was walking past the phone shop and was sucked in and got a new phone plan with an iPhone 4S. Wasn’t what I was expecting but hey, I love my new phone 
.
Just got my 64GB black 4S on the 22nd. Coming from the 3GS, here’s what stands out to me.
-Retina screen is incredibly sharp and bright
-3G speeds on my AT&T connect come in at 5.5 Mbps, a big jump from my 3Gs
-the camera takes really sharp, clear pictures
-Siri-I’ve been using it to set my alarm, dictate texts, and add reminders and events to my calendar.
