Japanese action game masters CAVE have announced Bug Princess as their next iOS title set for release later this year.  Bug Princess is also known as Mushihimesama, and is a conversion of the 2005 arcade game of the same name.  Players may already be familiar with CAVE’s Mushihimesama Bug Panic, a spin-off of the original game.

The press release doesn’t give too much away, saying it’s going to be released for the iPhone and iPod Touch – no HD iPad version yet – and will be getting a global release during ‘winter 2011′.  The price is listed as TBA, but we’d expect it to be at the same mark CAVE currently sells their games, around $7.99/£6.99.

CAVE’s games are usually highly playable if you’re a fan of bullet-hell titles, and Bug Princess certainly doesn’t appear to disappoint in this area, with plenty of bullet dodging action on display.  Definitely one to look out for soon.
