Reckless Racing 2 Released on February 2nd

It has been more than a year since the release of Pixelbite’s excellent iOS racer Reckless Racing, and the team has now provided a release date for the sequel.  Reckless Racing 2 will be sliding onto your iPhone and iPad on the 2nd February.

Announced in October last year, the new game will once again feature top-down racing of the most reckless kind, plus the same degree of attention to detail and great-looking graphics.  None of this was lacking in the original of course, which was only let down by the shortness of the game and slight lack of variety.

This has been addressed in the sequel though, as it’ll have new game modes including a career mode,  vehicle upgrades and customization, longer tracks with plenty of alternative routes and improved competitor A.I.  The multiplayer mode will also be tweaked.

So far we’ve only got a few screenshots and a very short teaser trailer to tide us over for the week, but the game is certainly looking superb – with all the oversteer we could possibly want.

Pricing and exact features have yet to be confirmed, but expect the game to be available in the App Store next Thursday.
