Release date for canada will be sometime in the summer 2008,(probably early july). It has not been confirmed yet, but i have heard from my cousin who is connected with people who are involved with the creation of iphone. The 4gb will NOT be coming to canada, and the distributor will be from rogers wireless exlusively.

That's a misconception, Bruce. Steve's exact words:
"...1% Market share equals 10 million units. This is a giant market. If you [get] just 1% market share, you're gonna sell 10 million phones. And this is exactly what we're gonna try to do in 2008, our first full year on the market." He then reiterates "10 million units in 2008" -- not by the end of 2008, but "in" 2008.

The article is misquoting Steve. The quote was 10 million by the end of 2008, so that includes all 2007 sales too.

I currently own this case and am writing on my iPhone with it in it. But I truly hate this case, only reason I dont change it is I'm cheap and dont live in the US. Its starting to tear near the dock and the inside of the cover must be cleaned every so often so dirt won't scratch the back, although so far no scratches there. So I highly recommend you to buy ANY other case.

Big deal...so he doesn't know when the 3G iPhone will be out but he does know that they're doing a joint announcement of an unspecified nature around the time that Steve has already announced that the 2.0 firmware will be available. Assuming that the announcement will have to do with the 3G iPhone is nothing more than...speculation.

I bought this case and I'm not very satisfied with it. I do love how it protects the whole phone, but it decreases the sensitivity of the phone's touchscreen too much.
You have to press down harder on it, which is annoying.
If you can get used to the decreased sensitivity, then I would recommend it.
Otherwise, forget about it.

There must be more to the new phone than just downloading a web page slightly quicker ! If I want to do this I use Iphoneiquity (www.thesmespace.com/smeutils/iphoneiquity) - I think maybe I heard about it here. It compresses any website and formats it for the Iphone, allowing me to turn images on or off. Sooo...give us the news on the features, this is what is really going to sell it to me.

About two days ago a co-worker of mind told me he got insurance for his iPhone with this company called iCover. I figured what i heck i'll check this site out. I couldn't believe it, this company offered accident coverage for the iPhone for only $8.99/month. So my search is over and my iPhone is covered. Not sure why Apple would allow AT&T to go this low on the price because it devalues the brand. The iPhone is a premium product, and Apple products generally get a high value perception from consumers. Not sure why Apple would want to mess with this formula, but we'll see.

The XyloT2 case is the best. I love it and highly recommend it. The water thing under the screen is easily solved by discharging the static. This is caused by Static build up... all you need to do is, after you clean the iPhone and before you place it into the case, you need to touch a metal piece to get rid of static Hope this helps...

I called AT&T just tonight for a simple question. I agreed to the post call revue and was ready to flame them. To my own surprise, I gave the young lady the highest marks. Perhaps AT&T's land line and in store help could take some pointers from their mobile service bept.

Thanks for this story. I've had very little problems with AT&T's customer support. In fact, I find their customer support personnel very helpful and quick to respond to requests. To go even further, I'd go as far as saying AT&T's Wireless customer service is among the best customer service I've experienced! I know that in the distant past, they were not very good, but in the last year or so, I've found their service to be excellent. Certainly, much better than any of my banks, better than my ISP and a lot of restaurants I frequent!

I should have waited for all these comments before I ordered it. I ordered it right when I saw it and even rushed it for $10 extra only to be completely disappointed. The case kept unlatching itself, the screen does make that watermark no matter how much you try and clean it/dry it. It is very easily scratched and makes the phone look very unappealing. Also the touch screen sensitivity is largely decreased and is a hassle when trying to text because the corners are not sensitive at all. All in all the biggest waste of $45.

Since switching to AT&T, I have never experienced poor customer service. Of course coming from Sprint, ANY customer service is better that what they provide. I went on a cruise and came back to a $400 phone bill even though I purchased an international plan. I contacted AT&T and they knocked off $200 with no problem.

I experienced a similar situation when I blew through my anytime minutes and over 2000 rollover minutes a couple of months ago. A fantastic young lady adjusted my plan mid month to give me unlimited calling for a mere $20 on my next bill after using 80 minutes at $0.30 per minute. My attitude toward AT&T has completely changed.
